BAM Outsource Help You Makeover Your Meetings
BAM Outsource offer some tips to reinvigorate your meetings.

BriefingWire.com, 7/18/2012 - Business meetings are essential. Look at companies like Apple and Google who spend millions of pounds each year on their international meetings. Not everyone has the huge budget to spend and what about for those all important internal meetings? At BAM Outsource we like to think that we’ve become pros at the morning meeting. Inspiring and motivating our team is top of our agenda, here’s how we do it.

1. Make your meeting two-way.

Interactive meetings can sometimes feel like getting water from a stone but stick at it, very quickly as people feel more comfortable they'll get involved. Don’t just give out information, use it as a time to ask people questions. What are your goals for today? What went great yesterday? Do you need any help with anything?

2. Mix it Up

If you have a daily meeting like we do at BAM Outsource it’s important to change it up. Think of a different beginning for each day so as to catch everyone’s attention. Start with your interactive session so that people feel involved from the start.

3. Avoid PowerPoint

Unless you have to get a lot of specific information across, and you want people to write it down, don’t use PowerPoint. It allows people to switch off and just watch the slides go past. It also means people have to sit down and we believe that short meetings are done much better when people are standing up.

4. Get others to speak

Even the most charismatic of leaders can get boring to listen to if it’s day-in day-out. Find someone else to lead the meeting every once in a while. At BAM Outsource we either bring in or conference call in associates from around the country to give a fresh approach on their sales tactics. Promote that they’re going to speak to get people excited and so that they can prepare questions. Leave an extra 10 minutes at the end for a mini networking event or Q&A session.

5. Hand out Praise

Nothing gets a team going like feeling rewarded. Single out people or a specific team for their hard work. Keeping with the interactive theme, ask them why they think they were successful. Do it at the end of the session so that people go away either feeling great about themselves or invigorated to work harder to get the praise tomorrow!
