The Practice Perfect series of books provides multiple ways for a musician to hone their ear training skills through exercises that teach using real time.

Two types of exercises are included:

Real music is played in the background as you are prompted to sing a specific pitch in the key You hear a note sung by a voice as the real music is played. You are given a few seconds to identify that note, then the correct note is spoken.
