As well as helping us to begin the process of healing and closure, a remberance service helps us celebrate a life and the significance of the life that was lived. For many years, it has been a way of expressing beliefs, thoughts and feelings and helping us to acknowledge the passing of someone and a means of allowing us to say goodbye. A service pays tribute to the person’s life and helps us to acknowledge and face the reality of their departure

It provides comfort and a purpose in our continued living, even after a loss and allows us to express our thoughts and grief about the passing and life of the lost loved one and provides an atmosphere of love and support from others who care about one another. Grief can be freely expressed through mourning. It also also encourage us to remember the person who has died by shared fond memories or stories with others.
