Animal Shelter Inc. designates February as Adopt the Love of Your Life Month
Still Looking For Your Love of a Lifetime?

BriefingWire.com, 2/01/2011 - Animal Shelter Inc. of Sterling, MA designates February as Adopt the Love of Your Life Month - Adopt a pet and help keep the Sterling Shelter’s legacy of helping homeless animals Sterling, MA – We all know Valentine’s is for lovers – and this year, it’s for pet lovers, too. You can celebrate the holiday by giving pets special Valentine’s Day gifts or adopting a homeless pet who’s looking to find love during the Second Chance for Love National Adoption Event running at the Animal Shelter Inc. the ENTIRE MONTH OF February.

“To celebrate finding the love of a lifetime our shelter located in Sterling, MA is running an adoption special… $25 off any adoption fee and 10% off any retail products. Our shelter stocks everything a spoiled pet could ask for! It’s one stop shopping and 100% of the proceeds benefit the shelters pets and programs…from crates to beds, toys to treats, clothing, bowls, food, and for the felines litter box sets, scratching posts and lots of little cat nip filled treats and toys,” states Leigh Grady, Executive Director.

“Our shelter located in Sterling, MA has all sorts of amazing, happy, healthy and well adjusted pets just waiting for a chance at a new life. From puppies to older dogs, cats to kittens…there are all sorts of options. If you’re looking for a couch potato, lap-warmer or a pooch that will run a marathon…we’ve got pets and programs for EVERYONE,” Grady continues.

The shelter encourages potential adopters to check the shelter’s website www.sterlingshelter.org (which is updated multiple times a day) to learn more about their pets and programs. Potential adopters can also click on the PETS for ADOPTION section to see photos and profiles of the pets in the shelter.

“Because adopting a pet is a lifelong commitment that can exceed 15 years we also request the entire family be present when coming to meet a potential pet to adopt. We want to make the perfect match and it’s hard to do if the kids aren’t there. Surprising a family member with a new pet isn’t a good idea. It’s almost like picking a spouse for someone…you have A LOT of years you’ll be spending with that animal and you have to make sure it’s the right fit,” Grady finishes.
