Announces Innovative Lateral Epicondylitis Treatment To Its Practice
Regenerative Medicine Institute of Nevada, revolutionizing the way to treat pain, disease and aging, introduces Lateral Epicondylitis treatments to their service offerings.

BriefingWire.com, 12/22/2016 - Regenerative Medicine Institute of Nevada, revolutionizing the way to treat pain, disease and aging, introduces Lateral Epicondylitis treatments to their service offerings.

Lateral epicondylitis, commonly referred to as tennis elbow, is a painful condition of the elbow caused by overuse and repetitive minor injuries to the tendon. It encompasses pain and/ or inflammation of the outer part of the elbow. These repetitive injuries accumulate and will often disable the person from many normal activities. Not surprisingly, playing tennis, other racquet sports, and other activities can cause this condition. Medical studies have shown that tennis elbow is often due to damage to a specific forearm muscle, the extensor carpi radialis brevis (ECRB). This muscle is required for stabilizing the wrist when the elbow is straight. When the ECRB is damaged form repetitive activity, microscopic tears form in the tendon where it attaches to the lateral epicondyle. This leads to pain with minimal activity and is very disabling in many cases.

We at the Regenerative Medicine Institute of Nevada (RMIN) employ a vast array of treatment options for patients suffering from lateral epicondylitis. We commonly employ the use of Platelet-Rich-Plasma, or PRP, in combination with additional growth factors and cytokines we get from licensed tissue banks. The addition of the cytokines and growth factors enhances the ability of the injury to heal compared to PRP alone. In severe cases, we have gone to using Stromal Vascular Fraction, a ‘soup’ of cytokines, growth factors, mesenchymal cells, as well as stem cells for recalcitrant cases. If you have been dealing with the pain of tennis elbow, we invite you to come in for a complimentary consultation where we can assist you in choosing a therapy that will get you back to normal sooner than rest, ice, and physical therapy alone will.

Dr. Garcia, owner of Regenerative Medicine Institute of Nevada, “I am pleased to begin offering a new and innovative option for those patients suffering from lateral epicondylitis. Hopefully these patients can relive their pain and pot-pone surgery for their arthritis.”
