BriefingWire.com, 8/28/2014 - DonnaInk Publications, L.L.C. CEO-President and Founder, Ms. D. L. Quesinberry announced the new title release of, Through the Broken Looking Glass, by Mr. Clifton (Cliff) Hill of the Washington DC area on 24 August 2014. Ms. Quesinberry stated, “Mr. Hill’s title is a work of creative nonfiction and captures the mindset of a man who loses it all while trying to rationalize the expectations of life as an individual, as a man, as a husband, as a father, as a son and as a being on a spiritual path on this great planet. The work we determined to be creative nonfiction due to a significant share of author opinion regarding trends, factoids and personal experience. It is an interesting account, which sometimes mirrors the sentiment of many Americans who may feel displaced and gives a humanist view of the lives of the homeless and the accountability we each have to view the epic of the soul in more genuine terms.”

Through the Broken Looking Glass, is written much in the tradition of J.D. Salinger and Mark Twain. It is a book that defies structural norms as it takes the reader back and forth between a reflective review of American culture; and a chaotic, unwanted adventure experienced by the author. The outcome is not what anyone would expect. This is not a rags to riches story. It is a story, which explores American values through the eyes of a despondent citizen who lost everything. More importantly, it is a creative nonfiction memoir incrementally revealing how the author came to an awareness of the cause of his misfortunes.

When he first arrived in Philadelphia, Cliff Hill had no way of knowing he would end up homeless and living on the streets. But that is exactly what happened. He had been a successful high-level advisor to leadership in the government for 13 years. He had a family, friends and what looked like a bright future. Instead of a positive and abundant life manifesting, he ended up alternating between living in a homeless shelter and with an illegal immigrant in a small room under a restaurant. Readers journey with Mr. Hill to the conclusions and understandings he draws from his life experiences. An interesting account of modern life when it doesn’t go according to plan.

Mr. Hill’s title is available through the publishing house, DonnaInk Publications, L.L.C. at www.donnaink.org and at other retailers. eBook is slated for release within the next 30 to 60 days.
