BREXIT to negatively hit the UK Higher Education business
Changing Student immigration rule post BREXIT, which is believed to be a major reason for discouraging the inflow of international talent, is predicted to negatively hit the whole higher education business of the country.

BriefingWire.com, 2/02/2017 - London, 3 February, 2017:

One of the industries which is expected to take the burn of the BREXIT is the Higher education in UK. Today being regarded to be the world's best and highly evolving higher education, the country is likely to lose many talented students. Making it harder for the international students to come to stay and work post their education in UK will hamper the quality of talent at UK universities. As per the experts, even a modest decline in the international talent could significantly damage the Universities in UK, both economically and in terms of talent quotient.

The recent changes as per the Brexit norms is likely to make the higher education in UK more expensive for the international students who are aiming for universities. UK which has one of the strongest university systems in the world needs to re evaluate its take on immigration norms if it want to boost the country's export earnings and meet it's own target of increasing total education exports to £30 billion by 2020.

At the Conservative Party conference last month, U.K. Home Secretary Amber Rudd suggested there could be different visa rules for “lower quality” universities and courses — meaning that, for the first time, immigration rules for students would be linked to the quality of institutions, which would probably lead to an overall fall in student numbers. The U.K. parliament has announced that it will evaluate how Brexit would affect higher education, with the chair of the House of Commons’ education committee, Neil Carmichael, saying: “There are fears that Britain’s withdrawal from the EU will have a negative impact on higher education.”
