Clayton Walters is an award winning student and a skilled sportsperson who has participated in various sports events. He received the Richard C. Adkerson School of Accountancy Academic Achievement Award 2009-2010. He was on Bulldog Honor Roll (Athletes) for three semesters. He was on the President’s List for four semesters and the Dean’s List for three semesters. Additionally, he was also a part of the Southeastern Conference Freshman Honor Roll 2006-2007.An active sportsperson, Clayton Walters has participated in Men’s Track and Field and Men’s Cross Country. He has served as SYSO Youth Soccer Coach: 2008-2009 and SAY Youth Basketball Coach 2009-2010. He has volunteered with Starkville High School Cross Country, Track and Field 2006-2008 and with Starkville Recycling 2006-2007. He actively participated in various student activities and supported many social organizations. He was a part of Young Americans for Liberty, Maroon VIP and FCA (Fellow of Chartered Accountants). He also joined the Pre-Law Society and was honored with a position on the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Clayton Walters is presently pursuing his Masters of Tax Accounting from the University of Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Accountancy from Mississippi State University. His overall GPA was 3.77/4.00 and major GPA was 3.74/4.00. Walters received his Bachelor of Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude, from Mississippi State University in May 2011. He has also completed a six week summer internship from M.M. Winkler & Associates, Tupelo, Mississippi.

He is a member of various honorary organizations such as Beta Alpha Psi, National Society Collegiate Scholars and Order of Omega. He actively participates in Habitat for Humanity. He has been serving as sportswriter for The Reflector; Mississippi State Student Newspaper from fall 2009 to present.
