As most of you are aware, Frontier purchased Verizon’s FIOS and DSL businesses in California, Florida, and Texas, taking over the fiber and copper networks as of April 1, 2016. Outages and other service problems hit Verizon/Frontier customers almost immediately; and unfortunately for these loyal clients, the number of issues has been on-going for over a month and Frontier has yet to resolve all these issues. To make matters worse, Frontier has not addressed the severity of the service issues or taken the liberty of disclosing how they are going to fix this problem.
Frontier had similar problems that occurred in 2014, when the company purchased AT&T operations in Connecticut. The main problem that Digisoft has identified affected Frontier client, is that the existing FIOS modems are crashing due to how both companies (Verizon & Frontier) merged platforms. Our in-house engineers took matters into their own hands and ran a few tests with a handful of affected clients back online and help increase security connectivity stronger than Verizon’s FIOS modem.
