Dr Tariq Drabu is a leading dentist and specialist oral surgeon based in Manchester in the United Kingdom. He is also one of the youngest dentists to ever graduate in the United Kingdom before working in some of the busiest dental hospitals in the UK and Saudi Arabia. He always showed a passion in oral surgery which resulted in him completing his Fellowship in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Today Dr Drabu is the owner of the successful Langley Dental Practice and is also the Clinical Lead Dentist for the Oral Surgery Clinical Assessment and Treatment Services at NHS Heywood Middleton and Rochdale. Dr Tariq Drabu said “Public Health England is enabling local authorities to choose whether to implement water fluoridation or not with the help of their very simple to use online toolkit. Public Health England recently published the seventy nine page online toolkit, which is a valuable resource for local authorities that haven't adopted water fluoridation as of yet.”
Dr Tariq Drabu went on to say “The seventy nine page online toolkit covers all aspects of water fluoridation along with the benefits, the processes that local authorities need to be aware of and so much more. It is designed to educate local authorities to help them make an informed decision on how to proceed moving forward.”
Dr Tariq Drabu in Manchester closed in saying “Water fluoridations has had a positive impact on oral health in the United Kingdom, although not all areas are benefiting and those areas that haven't incorporated water fluoridation as of yet are seeing it in their children. They have a considerably higher percentage of children with tooth decay than areas already enjoying this benefit. There are six million people in the United Kingdom right now that are at reduced risk of tooth decay because their authority has chosen to add fluoride to their water.”
