Erik Kowalski moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. In just under three years he landed a role in Transformers 3, “Dark of the Moon” starring Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Patrick Dempsey and Frances Dormand.
Erik Kowalski has always had a passion for acting, writing, & producing, allowing his imagination to run wild. During college this would have a profound influence on his career path.
While attending the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Erik was a pre-med major. After two years though, he transferred to Milwaukee Area Technical College where he pursued and graduated with a degree in Film, Television, & Video production. While in school he applied for roughly 80 internships at production companies in Los Angles. Finally after months of mailings he got two responses, one from Scott Free Productions and Furthur Films both of which are helmed by Hollywood A-List. During that same summer he flew to Los Angeles to Interview at both. Upon graduation he moved out to Los Angeles that November. Once in Los Angeles he did an internship writing coverage on scripts at Furthur Films. During this time he also wrote several scripts of his own which were shopped around. To support himself he did various crew positions from production assistant and grip to assistant direction on a variety of Independent projects.
His film career would start briefly in 2005 as acting coach Theresa Pink took Erik under her guidance. He studied with Christopher Atkins and Karen Ironside. She would give him his start in “The Fallen Ones” and “29 Minutes and Counting”. It would be three years before Erik would come back to the acting world doing featured spots in “Greek” and “Glee”. His first break came in the summer of 2009 when he was cast as Deke in “The Conquered”, an Indie Horror film about five college students who stumble on to an ancient burial ground. Up next, he had a brief role in “I believe in America” as well as “Young Again” as Alex Vaughn, all of which hit the festival circuit. Then he played a Nazi soldier, Carl, in the short “Only Way Out.
Erik is currently looking for film projects which will showcase his exceptional talent as an actor.
