Today is our first Scottsdale country club Rattlesnake Skins game of the year. For those that don’t know anything about this event, Rattlesnake Skins is a two person alternate shot skins game played at 3:30 on the second Friday of each month. There are 6 country club Scottsdale Skins Games that will serve as qualifiers to play in the Championship skins game to be played on April 12, 2013. Individuals must play in a minimum of two qualifying skins games in order to participate in the Final Championship skins game. There are handicap restrictions for partners in this event so please contact the Golf Shop with any questions.

Saturday, November 10th from 10-3 we have our Scottsdale country club Fall Demo Day and hope you can join us to try all of the latest and greatest equipment from Taylor Made, Titleist, Ping and Tour Edge. Play it fore! Ward and The First Tee will also be present to collect used clubs, bags, shoes and equipment to donate to youth in need. Clean out your garages and give those old clubs some new life with someone who really needs them!

Next week Scottsdale country club will really get things rolling with the 2nd Annual Ladies’ and Men’s “Rodeo” Member-Member tournaments. We have added some fun additional competitions to peak your interest including a Shootout and Team Buy-In. The country club Scottsdale Ladies’ Rodeo will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 13-14 and the Men’s Rodeo will follow on Friday and Saturday, November 16-17. If you would like to play and do not have a partner please let us know and we will do our best to help pair you. We are very pleased with sign-ups thus far as there are currently 22 Ladies teams signed up and 58 Men’s teams.

Also in conjunction with the Scottsdale country club Ladies’ Rodeo on Tuesday, November 13th is the Holiday Boutique Shopping experience and Trunk Show from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. throughout the Clubhouse. All members and their guests are encouraged to come out and shop with vendors to include: Living Doll Shoppe, Glove It and EP Pro, Roberto Mantellassi leather goods, Emily Austin Jewelry, Yoganastix, Tzu Sport, Giangi Scarves and Walter Genuine Shoes to name just a few. Get your Christmas shopping done early this year and join us for this fun event.

The weather is cooling off and Thanksgiving Day is quickly approaching. There is an 8:30 shotgun start that day for anyone wishing to play. Sign-ups are now available on ForeTees or by calling the Golf Shop. The Golf Course, Practice Park and Clubhouse close at 2:00 p.m. so sign-up soon if you wish to play.

With the increase in play during our busy season the Golf Committee is insisting that we do our best to pair up players to make foursomes. Please be reminded that the Golf Shop may pair you with other players in the event it frees up additional starting times. We encourage everyone to use ForeTees to sign-up in any available time slots and meet other members.
