Global Projects Takes C.A.R.E. to Haiti
Founder and President Sabrina D. Black is on her way to Haiti to deliver Crisis And Relief Education (C.A.R.E.) to the people of Haiti

BriefingWire.com, 2/19/2010 - Detroit, MI, February 19, 2010 -- Global Projects of Detroit is on the way to Haiti after watching much of what is happening and seeing the need to go to provide crisis intervention for the Haitians will begin with their arrival on Monday February 22, 2010.

Sabrina Black along with executive director will team up with Dr. Richard Heron of Great Adventure Ministries to bring their form of psychological and emotional assessment to better capture what is needed for those who have survived the earthquake.

According to Black there is a definite need for crisis intervention led by trained professionals, “to move an individual toward holistic help and treatment.” Black, who is no stranger to crisis counseling, understands the need “to train and serve those who are less fortunate around the world.”

C.A.R.E. launched in 2005 during Hurricane Katrina offers effective methods for counselors and other social workers to be better prepared to address the outstanding needs of persons who have experienced some of the worst and horrific events of their lives. The success of C.A.R.E. during Katrina will be a great starting point as the team takes the program to Haiti.

The training covers Traumatic Stress Awareness, Debriefing and Defusing, Critical Incident Stress Management, Normal vs. Abnormal Reactions to Stress, Biblical Solutions to Disaster, and Helping Individual Heal Emotional Pain.

Global Projects is a non-profit faith based community organization located in Detroit, Michigan with a commitment to “serve the underserved and underrepresented around the world.” For more information about giving or if you wish to have a spoke-person speak to your church or school see below.
