GrayCell Technologies Exports has joined hands with the Tricity Chapter of CII’s Young Indians (Yi) for the Yi Vividha Project. Yi Vividha is the Learning Resource Center that has been set up to promote education for the underprivileged children in the village of Kaimbwala village near Chandigarh city. As part of the CSR initiative, the GrayCell Team has planned to hold basic computer education classes for the children on weekends which will help in promoting learning and igniting their passion for computers and building a better future.
The first class was held on 21st September on Saturday and classes have been scheduled on a weekly basis. A number of GCT Team members were present to lend their support to the worthy cause lead by the CEO, Mr Munish Jauhar who is the foremost champion of computers being the key driving force and building blocks of the future generation.
The eager participants were introduced to computers and taught how to operate a machine, save a file, connect to the internet and basic word and paint skills. The “easy to learn” approach was applied to generate and sustain interest. It was a fun filled interactive session in which the kids participated enthusiastically. Gifts and chocolates were distributed at the end.
The main aim with these weekly classes is to make a positive difference in the lives of underprivileged children with a combination of workshops, books, games and other learning aids. The kid’s curiosity is aroused and they are taught to think in a creative and logical manner.
The GrayCell CSR Team has been very active in promoting social causes and their initiatives have been recognized by the Local Government as well.
