It’s our privilege to inform you that we are about to complete a year with our monthly magazine URBAN VAASTU. The magazine which is now available in full swing across India and abroad in premium stores and online portals can also be viewed on our website: www.urbanvaastu.com. The thought had been with Mrs. Komal Rao, CEO and Editor-in-chief of Star Publication House and Urban Vaastu respectively. She finally conceptualized her idea in to this monthly magazine which is her baby.
The journey started from October 2014 and now it’s almost a year and we will soon celebrate our anniversary with an extravagant issue of Urban Vaastu in October 2015.
Why ‘Vaastu’?
Many of us are aware that vaastu is the ancient science of construction. We mistakenly think of it as pertaining only to buildings – home, office or factory.
The scope of vaastu is far wider than that. It encompasses the planning and building of cities themselves. It also covers within its ambit public buildings too.
As we plan our cities – big or small – vaastu becomes important in building scientific and beautiful urban spaces. Hence, we decided to title the magazine Urban Vaastu.
We seek your support and best wishes to help Urban Vaastu meet its goals.
What Is Urban Vaastu All About?
Well, our main aim is to cover the future plans of many private and governmental sectors, and how those plans are and will affect us, as we focuses on the creation and expansion of planned urban spaces and much more.
The magazine touches areas like urbanisation, various policies and its implementation, the comparative study of cities in India and abroad. It also focuses on economic development, inclusive growth of social and physical infrastructure, architectural beauty as well as the creation of green environments. Along with topics on travel, heritage and culture in addition to topics related to the ancient Indian science of Vaastu.
We in our own small way, hopes to contribute to the solutions for the challenges thrown up by the rapid urbanisation we see around. With India being one of the fastest urbanising countries of the world it's somehow hard for us to deny the issues that surround us as a nation.
Urban Vaastu also provides a platform for experts to discuss and try to remedy the various issues that surround us. From a pallet of different topics to choose from our readers are enlightened with the information we provide and cater to for a better world.
Our Goal:
Its quiet simple yet challenging. It is critical that we help in the construction of sustainable, breathing spaces that foresee and accommodate India’s great urban growth. Hence, the goal of Urban Vaastu is to nurture and support the principles of science and art to create public and private spaces that enhance our quality of living.
We don’t limit ourselves to just factual information, but we base our information on evaluated and balanced comparison against universal principles of architecture.
This means that, for every fact that we present, we first evaluate it from the eyes of the planners, citizens along with involving the economic interests and then measure it against the best examples from around the world.
Our Approach:
We incorporate the approach to highlight best practices and positive outcomes that encourage us in all spheres, including the public and private sectors.
Thank You!
