Wayne State University is sponsoring the conference This full day event will educate and motivate women of all ages to live healthier lives; socially, financially and physically, beginning at a younger age. Due to Wayne State University’s generous sponsorship of I Feel Good! Mind, Body and Soul Women’s Conference, ticket prices are $10 for parents, $15 for individuals and free for young ladies ages 11 to 18. Costs include 2 workshops and lunch per attendee. Young women ages 11 to 18 will automatically register for Chica Chat as one of their workshops. Tickets are currently on sale and available online through EventBrite.

This inaugural conference has been two years in preparation. The conference features workshops covering topics such as self-esteem, entrepreneurship, dating violence prevention and social networking etiquette. Workshop facilitators include Rasheda Kamaria of Empowered Flower Girl, Sylvia Hubbard of Michigan Literary Network, Jaye Hill of Jaye Hill Speaks, Angela T. Jones of Super Woman Productions and Publishing, and many other subject matter experts.

Vendor opportunities are available for community resources, nonprofit organizations, health, wellness and beauty services. The goal is to provide a place for vital information to be exchanged in a comfortable and inviting environment that some young ladies otherwise wouldn’t get to experience. Additional sponsors are needed and in kind donations are being accepted for lunches, beverages, printing services, gift bag items and prizes for the winner of the When I Grow Up Writing Contest.
