Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, arrived with State guest protocol at the Baitul Islam Mosque complex in Maple on July 3rd, 2012.
Upon arrival, His Holiness was greeted by thousands of Ahmadi Muslims from across Canada who had gathered at the national headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Canada. This is His Holiness’s third visit to Canada since being elected as Khalifatul Massih in 2003.
Men, women and children lined up in rows to welcome His Holiness in Canada after his tour of the United States of America.
During his tour to United States, His Holiness addressed the National Convention of the Community, met with dignitaries, and with leaders of the United States Congress. He also delivered an inspiring address at the Capitol Hill.
“Members eagerly wait for a visit by His Holiness”, said Lal Khan Malik, the President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Canada. “This is a momentous occasion for the Community in Canada. We are blessed by the presence of His Holiness. ”
During his stay in Canada, His Holiness will meet with members of the Community, address the 36th annual convention, and inaugurate new Community Centre “Aiwan Tahir” in addition to meeting with dignitaries.
