BriefingWire.com, 3/20/2017 - Start your day at Leadership Outlook, presented by Leadership Fort Worth, for the unveiling of an economic impact study exploring the next generation of health care in Fort Worth. Guests will enjoy a seated breakfast and discussion consisting of three esteemed health care leaders while supporting Leadership Fort Worth, one of the oldest leadership development programs in the nation.

The discussion will feature Paul D. Umbach, professor in the department of leadership, policy and human development at North Carolina State University, and founder and president of Tripp Umbach. With experience leading over 500 community health needs and assessments, Umbach is considered the nation’s community planning expert and has developed the vast majority of the nation’s new medical schools and health science education programs.

Stuart D. Flynn, M.D., dean of the TCU and UNTHSC medical center, will introduce Umbach and set the context for consideration of the impact of the new medical school on Fort Worth. Flynn previously served as the founding dean of the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix, overseeing development of the school’s curriculum and growing the program from the initial student class of 24 to the current class of 80.

Kristin Jenkins, J.D., FACHE, president of DFWHC Education and Research Foundation, will moderate the discussion, bringing over 20 years of experience in health care administration to the discussion.

Discussion topics will include an economic impact study on the future of health care in Fort Worth, insights into upcoming health care innovations, ideas on how Fort Worth leaders can prepare for the health care future and the impact of the new TCU and UNTHSC medical school on Fort Worth.
