MARSocial’s Author of the Year Competition Popularity is Growing Exponentially with Every Tweet
Geri G. Taylor, from Ruston, LA is one of the finalists representing the U.S.A. with an excerpt from her debut novel, The Kitchen Dance.

BriefingWire.com, 1/24/2014 - MARSocial’s Author of the Year Competition and KeeranVaani Creations International Film Producers have organized the largest author/book/film competition every launched on the world-wide-web. Beginning in November 2013, contestants submitted their 500-1000 word excerpts and began sharing their excerpts along with the excerpts of their competition until over 250,000 individual posts were shared with the twitter audience along with a variety of other social medias.

Not only will the winner’s book have the chance to be made into a film, the winner will also received The Ephraim Prize named after Joseph Ephraim, the founder of this competition. Ephraim, better know to the Marzian community as Cap’n Joe, quotes, “Our aim is to give all our Marzian authors who enter this competition as much maximum exposure via the large social media networking sites as we possibly can."

“In the beginning,” Taylor admits, “I was a bit concerned because I did not have many followers on Twitter and I was up against quite a few seasoned authors who had already gained a fan base. However, it did not take long until the authors helping authors' altruism took off and now I have nearly doubled my number of followers on Twitter, increased visits to my blog and website, plus gained over a hundred more likes on my Facebook page. I am grateful to all my new friends on MARSocial, and I know that I could not have made it to the finals without their support.”

The Kitchen Dance tells a story of growth after Joule, a successful interior designer, takes in Allen, a homeless man, and offers him a job finishing up the renovations to her lake house she had abandoned after her husband’s murder. Taylor selected an excerpt where miscommunication leads to an awkward situation. The readers can expect a lot of twists and turns as the story unfolds.
