"Celebrations are an important part of life, whether the reason is a patient getting to see their new brace-free smile or a special anniversary," said Kaner, who began practicing in 1972.

March was the official anniversary of the partnership between the practices. The Miami orthodontists have enjoyed consulting each other on tricky cases and creating orthodontic treatment plans to provide the best care possible.

"Our main goal in teaming up was to set a new standard in high-quality patient care," said Alquizar. "We wanted to offer the best possible orthodontics for adults and children in Miami."

After the merger, they got to work improving the practices by incorporating many of the latest orthodontic technologies Alquizar, a Pinecrest Invisalign provider, had been using. That technology included all-digital radiography, soft-tissue laser treatment and temporary anchorage devices, which are more commonly known as TADs or microscrews.

They updated and added more content to the website for patients and potential patients looking for more information about different types of braces or answers to questions about common orthodontic procedures and appliances. Alquizar and Kaner had adjustments made for the website that helped patients find them online easier. Now the practice is among the top search results on Google for many common search terms like Miami braces provider.

"A website redesign is coming soon that will improve navigation and give the site a fresh look," said Kaner.

Besides offering treatments ranging from traditional metal braces to invisible braces like the Invisalign system, the office offers patients services like free Wi-Fi, a reward program and plenty of payment or financing options.
