Neil Gilfillan defamed Michael Lathigee and should have known that the statements he made were wrongful, defamatory, mistaken and without merit.

Neil Gilfillan has made a formal and public apology to Michael Lathigee for publishing defamatory comments with a total disregard to Michael Lathigee's good name and reputation.

Neil Gilfillan paid damages to Mr Lathigee to compensate him for the damages as a result of Mr Gilfillan's defamatory statements.

In an interview Mr Lathigee said, "I am happy to get this court judgment accomplished and hold Mr Gilfillan accountable. Some people think they are able to make malicious and untrue statements and there is no consequences. Obviously my success in this case shows that is not the case."
