Mixed Martial Arts Youth Foundation (MMAYF) announced today a new relationship with the Big Brother Big Sisters of North Texas. BBBS has scheduled two events in the upcoming months with MMAYF. A team of current and ex-fighters will give the "littles" and "bigs" who attend the event a great introduction to the fastest growing sport in America, Mixed Martial Arts. “It was such a pleasure to meet with both Sayif (Saud) and Ryan (Kimura) and be introduced to the MMAYF” said Executive Director of Sports Buddies at Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas, Mike Binney. He went on to say, “After seeing all the great synergies that the BBBS has with the MMAYF, we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”
“Cementing the relationship with Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas just goes to show you that the message the MMAYF is trying to get out to the community through Mixed Martial Arts is universal,” said Ryan Kimura, MMAYF Board Member in charge of Partnerships & Sponsorships. "Having a large well known organization like BBBS agree to work with us just goes to show that all of the hard work that all of the Board Members have put in is starting to pay off. The interest and excitement about the MMAYF has been so overwhelmingly positive that it must be a sign that we are on the right track."
ABOUT MMAYF
The Mixed Martial Arts Youth Foundation (MMAYF), a non-profit organization, was created by the board of the directors because of their passion for the sport and their passion for giving back to their community. The goal and mission of the MMAYF is to help build character, integrity, confidence, self- respect, discipline and physical fitness through training in martial arts and to help provide access to youth, who otherwise, may not have the financial means to be exposed to this martial art.
