Movie That Took 22 Years To Finish Wins Acclaim
Indie film critic and filmmaker Brett Gerry chooses "Broken Frame" as his "Film Of The Day".

BriefingWire.com, 4/21/2013 - Redmond, WA - Rain City Cinema announced today that its film "Broken Frame" was selected as "Film Of The Day" by U.K.'s Brett Gerry. Gerry, who runs a popular blog on the Internet named "Film Of The Day", said this about "Broken Frame": "This is an inspirational story from Paul Gorman and Rain City Cinema, and I suggest anyone who's ever struggled to make it in the film industry watches the entire film." Gerry's website can be found at: http://brettgerry.co.uk/?p=2519

Rain City Cinema's Paul Gorman said, "We are honored to have been chosen and appreciate being showcased. Who knows where it will lead? It's been a long journey for us and for 'Broken Frame'."

Filmed in 1987, Gorman's film sat unedited in the can for 22 years due to a series of mishaps and life's curves. It wasn't until 2011 that he finished the film.

On March 9, 2013 Rain City Cinema released "Broken Frame" to the Internet where it can be watched for free at:

Gorman hopes that his film will be an inspiration to filmmakers and anyone else who has unfinished projects. "It feels good to finally finish it and get it off my back. It was nagging at me for a long time".

In addition to being the founder and owner of Rain City Cinema, Gorman is the founder and creator of the website B-Roll Cloud - a place where filmmakers can share B-roll footage. He believes that eventually it will transform the way films and TV news are made. "It's a new paradigm," said Gorman, "The ‘Y’ generation grew up sharing music, games, information and social contacts; they are comfortable with the notion of sharing and find it empowering."

Gorman hopes that B-Roll Cloud will catch on. "Getting the word out there is the challenge," said Gorman. His website can be found at:

Presently, Rain City Cinema is casting for "MosaiXlogue", which Gorman claims will be the first Mumble-core film comprised from actors’ audition monologues. Written by a team of Seattle writers and filmed in green-screen, backgrounds will be added and the monologues will be cut up and rearranged into new stories. "Who knows what stories will emerge from the collective minds of the writers, actors, director and editor," said Gorman.

Paul Gorman lives in Redmond, WA with his wife and dog.
