MuRdok single "Society's Lament" is an opera in the making
MuRdoK music is music to the ears

BriefingWire.com, 11/23/2010 - MuRdoK

MuRdoK was established in 2005. In 2006 they began to play in the local music venues. They quickly established a connection with their audiences through their unique approach to music. Their stage presence was also a contributor to their growing success in the music industry. The more venues they played, the more recognition they got. They took the underground music scene with a fury. This proved to be a trigger as club owners, production companies and the like began to take notice of this dynamic group. Part of their allure is the fact that every member comes from such a different background and genre of music. Intertwining these glorious characters created the most powerful recipe yet to emerge from this industry.

An indicator of this electric group is their new single, “Society’s Lament” which Is off of their new CD MuRdoK (is) Live! And also on MuRdoK, Vol. III. “The significance of the song’s name draws directly from its theme and inspiration: The aggregate decay of our morals and values of a society and the bitter yet laughable situation we’ve put ourselves in”, states Nathaniel Shepherd. This song is almost like an anthem for this group. It signifies member beliefs and political views of social downfalls and politics in general. Although this song is delivered in a playful nature, its meaning is clear and to the point. This song mixes an old time tempo and heavy metal like no other on the planet. Every note is so perfectly placed as to create maximum effect. It has outrageous vocals with morphed applications with wonderful melodic sections. Well, there is so much to say about this song – it’s soft at points, and it screams at you at the same time. It’s a story told like a heavy metal opera. Leave it to MuRdoK to create the very first of its kind.

This songs studio version is a bit different than the live version. Intro is basically the same, but the show that they put on is so unbelievable that, well, you need to witness this yourselves.

MuRdoK (is)Live and MuRdoK, Vol III is available now in its physical and digital format. Please stay tuned to a third version of this anthem coming soon to a iStore near you!

MuRdoK has played shows with legendary rapper Scarface, Brooklyn Zu (former members of Wu-Tang), The Charms and had the honor of working with Johnny Rotten of The Sex Pistols, Charlie Benante of Antrax, Dan Jacobs of Atreyu and even Thomas McClary of The Commodores. What a erray of talent.

There are plans for a new EP that is being worked on as this piece is written.

Playful, with talent that oozes out of every cell in their bodies…MuRdoK sets a new standard in this music industry, yet to be reach by anyone.

MuRdoK is currently working with A & R Select based out of West Hollywood, Ca. for licensing, publishing, a record deal and/or placement opportunities. They can be reached at:
