These fixtures and stencils are custom-designed based on the application and the machine to which the fixture is being used on. Upon receipt of the part and machine information BEST will design and send drawings of the plate/fixture/stencil for approval. Upon approval the fixture will be sent out. This entire process takes only a few days.BEST has experience in working with a variety of machines including but not limited to OKI, SRT, AirVac, Ersa, Jovy and others.
Dipping Plates/fixtures are designed to have either solder paste or paste flux poured in to the plate to a depth approximately 60% of the ball diameter. The size of the “well” can be oversized in order to accommodate a variety of device package sizes.
The fixtures are constructed from stainless steel and overcome some of the current shortcomings of the current devices. The process tooling is designed by experts in rework who do this for a living unlike other stencil houses who do not have the “real world:” experience in rework. BEST designs and fabricates the tooling “under one roof” which means the lead time (days not weeks) is compressed. The high end nickel-content stainless steel used in the fixtures means that their dimensional stability is secured unlike other tooling.
