Boucherville, QC, Canada -- May 23rd, 2013English Montreal author, Gregory Desrosiers, has published an electronic book adaptation of his college speech project, The Asperger Computer, that explores Asperger’s syndrome and how people with the syndrome experience the social stigma, including inequality. Originally, he faced a social stigma where he was not socially engaged outside of school for five years, even if in June 2009, he signed up on Facebook and used it since; it has created problems with self-esteem and social recognition as an equal individual. In addition, he wanted to discuss some of the negative feelings he catches in some multimedia, including the sitcom The Big Bang Theory (with Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons) and some celebrity music like Adele’s Someone Like You.
Currently sold at $2.99 USD, the e-book is available to the public for purchase at Smashwords, at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/317811. The e-book is also available on Kobo.com as it is now through the Premium Catalog, and will be up soon. There have been many books sold about Asperger’s syndrome, but Desrosiers attempts to spread the word, and pursue, his own destiny of eliminating his stigmatization barriers and being recognized and integrated to society like what most sociable people with AS want. By combining his integrity of what the syndrome is about and what he wants to discuss through his own interests and the ups and downs of multimedia adaptation, he offers a persuasive perspective that one reader will count as one connection.
