Pipe Lining: The Hottest New Trend
More Companies are Taking the Time to Secure Their Pipes Pipe lining became popular when sewer lines began to collapse, creating large trench holes.

BriefingWire.com, 12/22/2016 - It became apparent that this was due to the age of the sewer lines. As this goes on, many companies decided it was a good investment to take the time to make sure that their sewer lines were well protected and sturdier than ever before.

This is one of the reasons that pipe lining continues to increase in popularity. It a sturdier pipe, and it can all be done through one access point in the ground. According to one company, Nu Flow Tech, they have seen a drastic increase in pipe lining sales since the first sinkholes began to happen.

According to spokesperson Cameron Manners, President, “We did see a drastic increase in sales after they discovered that the sinkholes may be due to older pipes, and our recent reports indicate that they continue to increase as time goes on.

We do have a few residential customers with concerns about the pipes that run under the house, but, for the most part, more commercial buildings are making sure that they get the job done right with our leading pipe lining products.

They work by doing exactly what it sounds like they do; they line the pipe with a sturdy pipe liner that fits to the pipe, creating a pipe inside of a pipe almost. It is this barrier that prevents water from leaking out of the pipe into the ground around it. This is what makes the dirt and the ground around the pipe softer, and then results in sink holes. These are also caused by the collapse of a pipe, but the weight of the heavy, wet dirt will make the pipe collapse much sooner than it normally would.”

According to a small amount of research that was done on the cause of the sinkholes, it is a possibility that both are causing these sink holes.

The holes and cracks that are a result of the wear and tear on pipes can let out thousands of gallons of water because of the pipes size, resulting in a sink hole.

With the way that pipe linters line the inner part of the pipe, keeping water outside of the pipe where it belongs, it could, in fact, be the perfect solution to preventing sink holes from costing cities thousands of dollars in repairs, businesses from losing their buildings, and, most importantly, people’s lives could be saved.
