Infant(6 weeks- 12 months)
Our infant teachers love babies!!! You see it when they are rocking a baby to sleep, every time they play with the babies as the change a diaper, when they are on the floor playing with them, helping them develop their muscles, and when they are teaching the babies sign language. Our teachers follow each individual baby’s schedule and give you a full report at the end of each day so that you know all about your baby’s day.
Our older infants enjoy exploring their environment as they develop motor skills and verbal skills. Baby sign language is a big part of their day. They enjoy art, blocks, storybooks, dramatic play, music and physical activity in their classroom.
Toddler
(One and Two year olds)
Our program is designed to help create a child-centered, hands-on learning environment in each classroom. Creative, developmentally appropriate activities such as role-playing, painting, and building allow the children to explore their world in a meaningful way. Exciting monthly themes integrate learning and help meet the needs of the whole child. Components such as individual self help skills, potty-training, manners, opposites/concepts, songs, nursery rhymes and fingerplays are incorporated to help the children develop communication skills and independence. Our program is easily adapted to varying levels of development.
Preschool
(Threes)
The children enjoy language arts, math and science discovery, dramatic play, library, blocks, art, manipulatives, Spanish and sign language center in classrooms divided into learning centers. The teachers encourage each child to explore, create, communicate, question, problem solve, think, reason and socialize. The children are taught to discover answers on their own through experimentation and investigation. Time outside on the playground is also a favorite for the preschoolers as the children continue to explore their environment.
Kindergarten Prep
(fours)
The children in our kindergarten prep classes follow a developmental kindergarten proqram that provides all of the kindergarten readiness skills your child must acquire to be successful in kindergarten. Along with our kindergarten prep program the children willcontinue to learn sign language and Spanish. The children also continue to investigate andexperiment with art, math, science, language development, problem solving, communication· and socialization. And, of course, dramatic play and time outside on the playground are favorites for all the children.
