Rain City Cinema to begin production on new film in 2015
Seattle's Rain City announced today that production will commence in the summer of 2015 with "Halo", its 4th feature film.

BriefingWire.com, 12/29/2014 - Set in in the remoteness of Eastern Washington, Halo is a story in which, a downtrodden detective, Nick Borrelli, who has been falsely accused of shooting an unarmed black man, fights to regain his self esteem while he and a lesbian scientist, Rachel Gauthier, battle to save the world from a deadly virus unleashed by unknown terrorists.

I think "Halo" definitely defines some of the key issues and complexities of the times in which we live," says Rain City Cinema's Paul Gorman.  "It's much more than your typical post apocalyptic film where you don't have a clue as to what created the "situation".  This time we know what has happened, and what the consequences are, but we don't know who the 'real' perpetrators are."

Gorman goes on to explain that, "Halo" is a story about survival, tough choices and the dangers of extremism -- not necessarily religious, but all forms of  extremism.  It reflects the times in which we live, which are dangerous.

Rain City Cinema's other feature films include: "Broken Frame", which was acclaimed as 'Film of the Day' in the U.K., the documentary "Ride the Sky", which has appeared at four festivals in 2014, and "Roma Vendetta", which will be released in early 2015, when it will be circulated at film festivals.
