Tariq Drabu Pleased to see Improvements in the General Dental Council in 2016
Tariq Drabu said “The General Dental Council have improved their performance this past year according to the latest review from the Professional Standards Authority.”

BriefingWire.com, 11/23/2016 - Tariq Drabu is a leading dentist and specialist oral surgeon who was born and educated in Manchester in the United Kingdom. He is also one of the youngest dentists to ever graduate in the UK before working in some of the busiest dental hospitals in the UK and Saudi Arabia. Today he is the owner of the successful Langley Dental Practice and is also the Clinical Lead Dentist for the Oral Surgery Clinical Assessment and Treatment Services at NHS Heywood Middleton and Rochdale.

Tariq Drabu was speaking about an article published on 17 November 2016 on a top dental website.

Tariq Drabu said “The General Dental Council has shown improvement over the past year. The latest review from the Professional Standards Authority has identified that the General Dental Council are now meeting twenty one of their twenty four requirements when compared to them only meeting fifteen out of twenty four in 2015.”

Tariq Drabu in Manchester went on to say “The General Dental Council have met seven of their ten standards in terms of Fitness to Practice. They have met all four standards in Standards and Guidance, all four standards in Education and Training and six standards in Registration and seven out of ten fitness to practice standards. The GDC have put in a lot of effort to improve their performance and ensure good regulation.”

Tariq Drabu closed in saying “It is at last a small positive sign to see an improvement from the General Dental Council in one year. This hopefully means that they are going some way to be more equipped to work with and assist both patients and the dental team moving forward to promote the best quality patient care and treatment on a national scale. All dental professionals have to be registered with the General Dental Council, and it was very disheartening when we were informed that they were not meeting their requirements when it comes to the standards that they supposed to adhere to. Now knowing that they are starting to improve and with a seven out of ten fitness to practice standards, it is a small glimmer of hope for the profession and our patients in the long run.”
