The 52nd APPEA Conference: Satellite Solutions and Services For Energy Companies
NewSat, the preferred satellite communications partner of various mining, energy and telecommunications companies in and outside Australia, will be represented by Ron Miller and James Hamilton.

BriefingWire.com, 5/10/2012 - NewSat, the award-winning teleport and SATCOM specialist headquartered in Australia, will be participating at the 52nd Annual APPEA. The country's biggest tradeshow and conference for petroleum producers will be held from May 13 to 16 in Adelaide, SA. NewSat, the preferred satellite communications partner of various mining, energy and telecommunications companies in and outside Australia, will be represented by Ron Miller and James Hamilton.

Once again, the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association Ltd (APPEA) brings the 52-yr old trade event back to the center age, calling this year's gathering as unparallelled in terms of breadth and scope. The trade group has 80 member companies that have a strong presence in the region. These members, according to APPEA, are responsible for harnessing more than 98% of the total oil and gas resources across the country. APPEA sponsors include Clough, Schlumberger, the Australian Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism, Exxon Mobil, Conoco Phillips, Total, Beach Energy, Santos and Sasol.

The plenary session will feature speeches from Total Chairman and CEO Christophe de Margerie , South Australian Premier Jay Weatheri and Federal Resources & Energy Minister Martin Ferguson. International leaders from private and public sectors will also speak, notably Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi, the Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia; Maria van der Hoeven, former Executive Director of the IEA; Siemen’s Executive Vice-President Andrew Logue and ExxonMobil Gas & Power Marketing Vice President (Asia-Pacific) Emma Cochrane.
