The firm echoes the late Walter Payton’s quote, "Gifts during the Holidays for abused and neglected children may not seem like a lot, but in terms of establishing self-worth, confidence, and a feeling of pride, I believe it may mean everything. I want them to feel good about themselves and to have self-esteem and self-respect and they deserve - just as much as the kid down the street. Can you imagine the impact this has on these kids?..... Can you imagine?"The toy drive runs from the beginning of November to mid-December, giving individuals plenty of opportunities to donate so children who are less fortunate can receive a new toy for the holidays. Those who wish to donate are encouraged to drop off a new, unwrapped toy for children between the ages of newborn to 18 at the designated drop-off location at the Aurora Woodruff Johnson & Palermo office. In addition to toys, donations of gift cards and cash are also welcome through the Walter & Connie Payton Foundation.
After the toy drive is completed, all toys and donations will be distributed to children throughout the community who may not otherwise receive a gift this holiday season. Woodruff Johnson & Palermo has teamed up with the Walter and Connie Payton Foundation over the past several years and is proud to have this opportunity with the Foundation to help others out in need.
