MINNEAPOLIS, MN - Sincere Pros Detailing, a longstanding pillar of the Minneapolis community, remains steadfast in its battle for economic justice amidst the ongoing havoc caused by the City's neglect and discriminatory practices at George Floyd Square. Despite being an integral part of the local economy for years, the owner, Edwin Reed, told us that his business, along with many other long-term establishments, are facing significant financial losses in the millions due to the City's egregious actions. “Mayor Jacob Frye is disgracefully handling recovery efforts for long-standing small business owners like myself. His dereliction is an affront to our livelihood and impedes my ability and others to provide jobs and properly take care of our family”

Reed also indicated that the issuance of permits to touring companies, allowing them to profit from running paid tours through George Floyd Square - the site of a tragic murder - while refusing to compensate Black business owners for their loss, is an affront to justice and fairness. “This blatant disregard for the economic well-being of Black entrepreneurs is not only unjust but also perpetuates systemic inequality and undermines the fabric of our community,” said Edwin Reed.

He also noted this path was initiated to remove thriving small businesses because of the back door deals made with officials.

“Millions of dollars are being lost as a result of the City's fraudulent business practices, which are nothing short of a new form of gentrification aimed at wiping out Black wealth creation. It is a calculated attempt to displace longstanding businesses and erase the legacy of Black entrepreneurship in our city” he said.

Despite these challenges, Edwin Reed, the owner of Sincere Pros Detailing, remains vigilant in his pursuit of justice. Besides fighting for economic restitution, Reed is releasing his first tell-all book titled "Hush _ Hush Mpls" on February 12th, published by Hollis Media Group and will be available everywhere fine books are sold. The book sheds light on the horrific ordeal faced by Reed and other Black business owners, detailing the life-threatening challenges posed to their livelihoods and financial stability.

Sincere Pros Detailing stands in solidarity with all businesses affected by the City's unjust policies and calls for immediate action to rectify this grave injustice. “We demand fair compensation for the losses incurred and an end to the discriminatory practices that perpetuate inequality in our community” Reed, a former NFL Vikings who invested his life savings into creating a private business that supports the community and provides jobs.
