Founded by retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, Betty Dudley, Bee's Babies Essentials, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose vision is to restore hope and empower single parents with infants and toddlers. Inspired by the impact during the COVID pandemic of mothers not being able to provide essential items such as baby formula to sustain their infant babies, Mrs. Dudley recognized the profound challenges these families face, particularly those with children with disabilities, those who are homeless, and those recovering from abuse. The mission at Bee's Babies Essentials is not only to provide essential baby items, but also to offer life skills training, and a pro-life support system that fosters resilience and a brighter future.

When asked about the grant award, Mrs. Dudley responded, "I have to give huge thanks to an amazing team who have been with me through the inception of Bee’s Babies Essentials, and who believed in me when I approached them to take this journey with me. As I reflect on this partnership with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, I am reminded of the quote from the renowned author and disability advocate, Helen Keller, 'Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much.' We endeavor to make a difference in caring for the least of these in the spirit of love, care, and mercy, the same as God has shown toward us."
