Campaign Files Complaint to BBC of Bias and Selective Reporting Over Migration Channel Reporting..
The BBC faces renewed criticism for presenting what The Founder of GB2GB Terence George describes as “selective and politically convenient” reporting on small-boat Channel crossings.

BriefingWire.com, 11/17/2025 - Terence George states that “The BBC keeps repeating arrival numbers of illegal immigrants across the English Channel in Small Boats, but ignores the fact that smugglers now use far larger vessels.

Selectively reporting only half the dataset leads the public to false conclusions and further damages the trust and propriety of what was always regarded as the most Impartial UK based platform worldwide.

What I have discovered is something that has never to my knowledge been raised before, which is that the BBC selectively have not reported is the actual number of boats that their figures were based on.

In this context it should be noted that the main aim of the Conservative party's Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on the 4th January 2023 was to 'stop the boats' and this remains they cry to this day, the number of actual migrants was never a factor in that phrase or ambition specifically.

What was certainly not brought into the narrative was the number of 'boats' that delivered those migrants. That data concerning the number of 'boats' has been known by the government of the day - and more importantly in the relativity of BBC alleged 'duty of impartiality' reporting as required of them in their Royal Charter, this information was already known by them too.

I further argue that while BBC coverage focuses heavily on the number of migrant arrivals, it consistently downplays or omits the substantial reduction in the number of boats used — a key factor that alters public understanding of the issue.

That isn’t impartial journalism — it’s selective journalism.

I have today submitted a formal complaint about their omission of this important data to the debate, which was not in the interests of the British Public for over 2 years and have requested that the BBC publicly reveal how many complaints it receives annually about bias, including on migration-related reporting."

GB2GB strongly hold the BBC Click Here to account over its enthusiastic endeavours to present a one-sided view of politics in the UK by contacting the BBC complaints website and register THEIR disapproval to this abuse of both power and the BBC's requirement to act impartially in all political discourse.
