One of the major areas in Computer Science is the study of Data Structures and Algorithms. These two areas have contributed a lot to the development of programming languages. Deepak Garg is an eminent computer science scholar who has been working tirelessly to help computer science students master the concepts of algorithms. He is right now a faculty member at Thapar University, India. Deepak is a PhD in computer science and started his career with a leading software company. After spending few years in IBM he decided to dedicate himself to research. He joined Thapar University as a senior faculty member and since then has been conducting extensive workshops and conferences to help students master the basics of computer science students. He is an active member of IEEE and works as a Secretary of IEEE CS Delhi Section . He organized many IEEE symposiums throughout India. Being an able administrator, he conducted these symposiums in a systematic manner that saw him getting acclaimed from IEEE members and senior officials. Since he has done his PhD in related fields, it is quite natural that Algorithm Analysis and Design and related fields interest him. He is a prolific writer and is deeply interested in using his research work to develop further the field of Algorithms.
