Burnaby, Canada: Family and Friends Caregivers Day will be celebrated on October 27th, 2018 from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. Organized by the Burnaby Seniors Outreach Services Society, this event is being organized to provide resources to unpaid caregivers and the seniors they care for. The event will focus on providing an opportunity for caregivers to meet with community experts in-person and get information about the medical issues of the seniors. They can discuss their concerns and needs to receive appropriate services. “This event is a great way of celebrating how important the caregivers are for supporting the seniors. It will also allow senior persons and their caregivers to mingle and share their experiences with their peers and other community members. Being a trusted senior living facility, we encourage this type of event to help the caregivers with much-needed resources,” says Bill Singh, the owner of River Road Retirement Residence.
