Whether you would like a quiet resting place in the dappled shade beneath an oak, a sheltered spot in one of our traditional apple orchards, or a family Heirloom plot complete with its own tree circle, our 100 acres of woodland grounds has something for everyone.

The planting of a commemorative tree is an ancient gesture steeped in tradition and meaning. It is a symbol of continued life, strength and family connections. It gives relatives and friends a memorial to visit which they can enjoy watching as it changes over the years and seasons. Equally, it is a gift to the woodlands as they continue to grow and mature. Our trees are tended to and cared for by our onsite groundsman who, with great care and skill, expertly preserves our historic woodland.

Ashes, oaks, willows and more

Depending on your choice of plot, you may be able to select a tree of your choosing, or a tree may be selected by us to ensure continuity and diversity within the woodlands. Larger plots are bestowed with their own tree while some smaller resting places share a memorial with others.

Upon purchasing a plot at Memorial Woodlands, you and your descendants will become the registered landowners for as long as you wish. To discuss our various leasehold and freehold options, please contact us.

We welcome people of all faiths – and none – at Memorial Woodlands. Within the grounds of the woodland, we have created a sacred Jewish burial site and are in the process of crafting a dedicated Muslim burial ground as well. Both of these sacrosanct areas have been carefully designed under the guidance of religious community leaders.
