Formal challenges by GB2GB to BBC now submitted directly to the BBC as well as formally to OFCOM.
After submitting a complaint to the BBC about yet another case of Bias on their part this week, and now in receipt of their negative conclusions to that complaint, Terence George Founder of GB2GB has escalated the complaint further with OFCOM..

BriefingWire.com, 11/15/2025 - Having detailed the terms to the BBC of the complaint, the BBC responded without providing any detailed comments relating to my complaint, and indicated that the complaint was now closed.

Their response to this complaint regarding their admission of making a 'mistake' in creating a false representation of the President's speech was another perfect example of the bias the BBC too frequently use now on a daily basis, we have 3 other formal complaints already in review regarding their bias, which was the grounds of my initial complaint.

By calling this fraudulent act a 'mistake' suggested that this was a singular act, when in fact the nature of what they did was a collection of separate decisions, as shown in my response, to their response, demonstrates below:

"I am not satisfied with your response. You have acknowledged that the edited Trump sequence “created the impression” of a single continuous part of the speech and that the Proud Boys footage you used was filmed before the speech even began. This is not a minor production error; it is a clear distortion of chronology and meaning.

Your reply says the aim was to “convey the key messages” in condensed form, but condensing content cannot involve rearranging a speech, joining unrelated parts together, or pairing them with footage from a different time. This creates a causal link that did not exist.

That is a breach of BBC Editorial Guidelines on accuracy, fairness, and avoiding material distortion.

Your clarification that the word “peacefully” was not removed does not address the actual issue. The complaint is about the construction of a sequence that presented a misleading narrative by combining non-continuous speech with footage from before the speech began.

Your response does not explain:

• how this distorted sequence passed editorial checks

• why no on-air clarification or correction has been made

• how similar misleading edits will be prevented in future

Given the seriousness—and the BBC’s own admission that the sequence created a false impression—I request escalation for formal review. I am asking for:

1/. A Stage 2 investigation into how this edit was approved,

2/. An on-air clarification acknowledging the misleading construction,

3/. An explanation of what editorial processes failed and what changes will be made.

This requires proper scrutiny and should now be escalated.

A formal complaint has now been made to OFCOM and await its conclusions in due course. I am not aware of any other commentary on this matter other than the general British media who are taking the opportunity to denigrate the BBC for their treatment of the American President.

I have no interest in the furore over what the BBC did to Trump, my concern is solely with what the BBC have done to the nation with their blatant bias against the government since the 2024 general election.

Plus my concern of their 'soft' treatment of the Conservative party (by virtually not allowing any spokespeople or ministers of the Labour party to raise the issue the last 14 years, and the even 'softer' treatment of the Reform party.

As the BBC are regarded as the custodians of impartiality in the UK, they have to take full responsibility for the damage they have caused to the British nation and must be forced to meet the conditions of their Royal Charter of Impartiality Click Here .
