GB2GB Community Advice Launches National Journalists Campaign to Strengthen Public Accountability
Community Advice, part of the GB2GB initiative, today announces the launch of its Journalists Campaign, a major national effort designed to reinforce the essential role of journalism in a Fair and Balanced British Media for ALL and not just a FEW.

BriefingWire.com, 6/15/2026 - At a time when public trust in institutions is fragile and misinformation spreads rapidly, the campaign aims to empower journalists, protect editorial independence, and ensure that communities across the UK continue to benefit from transparent, ethical, and fearless reporting.

The initiative highlights the increasing pressures faced by journalists — from shrinking newsroom budgets and rising workloads to political hostility and digital misinformation. Community Advice believes that without strong, well-supported journalism, the public loses one of its most important safeguards: the ability to hold democracy and power to account.

“Journalism is the backbone of a functioning democracy,” said Terence George, Founder of GB2GB Community Advice. “When journalists are silenced, restricted, or unsupported, the public loses its voice. Our campaign stands to ensure that truth-seekers across the UK have the backing, tools, and protection they need to hold power to account. We are committed to empowering those who dedicate their lives to uncovering the truth.”

Today, Multi-Billionaire owned Media in Britain so often drifts into a 'copy and paste' mentality in an attempt to break readers' understanding simply by the crude system of repetition. It also prevents creative and inspirational thoughts 'outside the box' - which at present is more reminiscent of a prison with the 'Editor' as the prison Warden.

Being a highly paid Journalist can be an extremely rewarding position, but only financially so, for the genuine creative 'Hack' has the biggest opportunity to make a 'breakthrough' into media history by his or her bravery and undeniable powerful ability to create 'genuine' news - without innuendo, repetition, fabrication or plain lies - all of which the modern day tools of 'just' journalism depend on.

Campaign Objectives:

1/. Provide support, research assistance, and resources for public-interest reporting

2/. Strengthen collaboration between journalists and grassroots organisations

3/. Promote transparency, ethical standards, and community-focused storytelling

4/. Encourage public engagement with trustworthy journalism

5/. Highlight the importance of media independence in a democratic society

Community Advice invites journalists, editors, media organisations, and community groups to join the campaign and work together to protect the integrity of UK journalism.
