GB2GB Launches Public Call for Action With Just One Question on Fair and Balanced Media - YES or N0
After ten months of public support, GB2GB is moving its campaign from social-media agreement towards measurable public action, based on one question: Should ONLY Left OR Right media have a monopoly over what news the public receive daily OR both?

BriefingWire.com, 9/20/2026 - STATEMENT FROM THE FOUNDER OF GB2GB

Over the last ten months, GB2GB has received thousands of messages and built a community of more than 3,000 followers. But we now have to confront an uncomfortable truth: AGREEMENT IS NOT ACTION.

Thousands of people can believe something is wrong. Thousands can complain, comment and press LIKE. But tomorrow morning nothing necessarily changes. That is the flaw GB2GB was created to solve.

Our Fair and Balanced Media campaign is based upon a simple democratic principle:

No wealthy proprietor, political movement, government or ideological group should possess disproportionate influence over the information citizens rely upon when making democratic choices.

And I want to make something equally clear.

GB2GB IS NOT CAMPAIGNING TO REPLACE RIGHT-WING MEDIA DOMINANCE WITH LEFT-WING MEDIA DOMINANCE.

That would simply exchange one problem for another. Our principle applies equally to Left, Right and Centre.

The fundamental question GB2GB wants people to examine is whether the protections which currently exist are sufficient to prevent excessive bias of one-sided media influence and adequately protect the democratic interests of ALL British citizens.

THIS IS NOT BE A PARTY-POLITICAL QUESTION - IT IS A SOCIAL COMMUNITY QUESTION.

Governments change. Political parties win elections and lose them.

If disproportionate media influence is wrong when it benefits the political Right, it must also be wrong when it benefits the political Left. That is why this campaign has to be bigger than today's politicians.

There is another problem that GB2GB has experienced directly.

Social media gives millions of us the ability to express our frustration instantly.

We post. We comment. We share. We press LIKE.

And for a moment it feels as though we have done something. But expression and action are not the same thing. A thousand angry comments remain a thousand separate comments unless somebody turns them into a common purpose.

GB2GB intends to try.

We will examine the democratic, regulatory and appropriate legal avenues through which media can properly be challenged or strengthened. We will not pretend that any particular legal route, including Judicial Review, automatically provides an answer. Any such action must be based upon evidence and proper legal grounds.

But before petitions, politicians or courts, we need to establish something much simpler:

DOES THE PUBLIC ACTUALLY WANT CHANGE?

Do you believe British citizens should have access to a genuinely neutral media in which no political interest, Left, Right or otherwise, has disproportionate power over the information upon which our democratic choices depend? The public CAN make up their own mind thank you?

If your answer is YES, that is all GB2GB is asking you to tell us with just a 5 seconds act. No essay. No political allegiance. No requirement to agree with everything GB2GB says.

JUST SAY YES USING THE LINK BELOW - THEN THAT IS ALL YOU NEED TO DO

Three thousand followers are encouraging. Tens Of Thousands of messages are encouraging. Likes and comments are encouraging. But eventually democracy requires citizens to move from agreeing that something is wrong to doing something about it.

GB2GB is prepared to take that next step for you. The question is whether the public want GB2GB to.

*FAIR MEDIA DOES NOT MEAN A MEDIA THAT AGREES WITH US. IT DOES HOWEVER MEAN A MEDIA ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH NO ONE HAS THE POWER TO DROWN EVERYONE ELSE OUT*
