Today GB2GB announce an imminent threat to the nation and its cohesion with an out of control right wing British media creating mass division threatening society itself on a growing scale daily in the UK.Subject: Media Silence on Guardian Investigation into Nigel Farage
To Ms Spring,
BBC Verify was established to scrutinise claims, expose misinformation, and provide clarity on matters of public interest.
Yet your team did not address or even acknowledge the Guardian’s investigation into Nigel Farage’s undeclared earnings — despite the story involving significant financial flows from foreign-linked sources and raising questions about transparency and integrity.
Given your remit, the silence from BBC Verify is notable. It suggests either a decision to avoid the story or a breakdown in the editorial process. The public relies on BBC Verify to apply scrutiny consistently, regardless of the political figure involved.
I am requesting clarification on why this story was not examined by your team and how that decision aligns with your stated mission.
This question is also being sent to all the perceived right wing leaning titles detailed below requesting their comment on why they have reported this information so scantily, if at all, since the 17th inst of Nigel Farage's personal behaviour relative his vaunted position as the very same media's predicted person to become the next prime minister of the UK.
To have such an individual and collective policy of suppressing this information to be available to the public is probably the biggest betrayal of British media ever recorded.
GB2GB will be writing to the Prime Minister asking him to raise this issue in parliament with a view to raising a bill for parliament to vote on, as a threat to the democracy by what can only be described as an informal state controlled British media by default.
The progress and process of the Conservative government since 2011 to date of the successful transformation to around 90% domination of right wing press coverage in the UK by just 3 Multi Billionaire owned groups of newspapers, is a national act of neglect at best.
This letter is being sent to all major UK news organisations simultaneously. BBC News, ITV News, Sky News, Channel 4 News, Channel 5 News, GB News, Talk TV, LBC, The Guardian, The Times, The Telegraph, The Independent, Daily Mail, Daily Express, Daily Mirror, The Sun, Financial Times, Metro, Evening Standard,
