BriefingWire.com, 11/09/2019 - On Monday, November 11, at 5 p.m., Golden Corral, Lumberton, NC will celebrate its 10th Anniversary of serving a Free, “Thank you” Dinner for active and former military members who have served in the U.S. Military and raising needed funds for the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) organization.

Dalton Stocks, Golden Corral, Lumberton franchise owner, noted, over the last 9 years, “We are honored to have served 13,246 dinners to these American heroes. These are the men and women who have or are safeguarding all our liberties. It is the least we can do to say, “thank you” and God Bless! We are also pleased to announce $38,653 has been collected for a great organization helping all our veterans, the DAV.”

Dalton went on to say, “It’s sad, when we started doing this 9 years ago, we had a few WWII and more Korean War vets. Now, we don’t see our WWII heroes, only a few Korean War heroes and our Vietnam vets are decreasing in number. We all owe them so much.”

Disable American Veterans, Lumberton Chapter, Commander Billy Ray Jacobs and Vice-Commander, Henry Caulder will be on hand to talk to any veterans in need of assistance while representing the DAV. Vice-Commander Caulder wanted to take the opportunity to express the DAV’s appreciation for all Golden Corral, Lumberton has done to assist in their fundraising efforts and to let veterans know they are there to help, “Dalton, and his staff at Golden Corral, have bent over backwards and have been so good in helping us to help our fellow veterans. We want to say thank you for always caring.”

Know a veteran who needs help, contact Vice-Commander Caulder at 910-827-9854 or go to www.DAV.org.
