BriefingWire.com, 1/09/2014 - Hemp seed shop now offers tips on how to harvest and germinate hemp seeds and plants. The website is steadily emerging as a renowned supplier of beneficial hemps seeds across USA.

Ohio, United States of America, 3 December 2013; Hemp Seed Shop, a fast growing online hemp supplier also offers tips on how to deal with hemp plants. Currently the portal is offering tips on how to germinate and plant hemp seeds. There is also an article that provides pointers on how to harvest hemp seeds. According to the website, the best indicator of a female hemp plant’s ripeness is the colour of the hairs that covers it’s flowers. Initially, these hairs are white; as and when the plant matures, they change to an orange-reddish hue. They can be observed with high powered magnifying glasses. When 75% of the hairs on the hemp flowers have changed colour, the hemp plant is ready to be harvested. Such a crop also has low THC content.

According to the spokesperson of the company, “Resin glands of a hemp bloom goes through a colour change where in it darkens to an opaque yellow, amber or orange hue. This is an indicator that the THC content in the crop is slowly converting to more sleep-inducing cannabis active ingredients like CBD. Most harvesters looking for a higher THC content tend to harvest the crop when 50% of the hairs have changed colour. In such plants the overall resin content is less as most of it is THC.”

Similarly the website offers tips on how to germinate these hemp seeds and plants. According to hemp experts who contribute content to the website, hemp germination process requires some very basic instruments. One needs two saucers and some wet tissues. First of all, the bottom layer of the first plate needs to be lined with a few layers of tissues. Excess water must be drained out for best results after laying out the layer. The seeds need to be placed on the tissue so that every seed has enough room to breathe. This is topped with more layers of wet tissues then add seeds done up in a similar fashion. Finally the sandwiches of tissues and hemp seeds need to be covered with another plate. The entire set requires a dark moist condition for the hemp seeds to germinate.

“The entire germination setup should be placed in a temperature controlled area where the temperature must not exceed 21 degrees. Direct light should also be avoided for better germination of the hemp seeds. The tissues must stay wet and one can ensure this by spraying them with water daily. Within the first few days the seeds start opening up and the roots emerge. This could be a slow process consuming as many as 10 or more days. These seeds can be transferred and plated carefully into a soil medium. Within 1 to 3 days the seedlings start to emerge.”
