Kemi Badenoch Making The Headlines Again: For All The Wrong reasons Again. Embarrassing Tories Again
Badenoch opposes the public's desire for closer ties to the EU as well as opposing apologising for Britain's leading role in slavery for 250 years?. Claims that it was Britain that abolished it AFTER 250 years of cruel trading will fall on deaf ears?

BriefingWire.com, 11/03/2026 - THOSE DISMISSIVE REMARKS ON 2 MAJOR ISSUES ARE NOT THOSE OF A FUTURE PRIME MINISTER?

Yesterday's Daily Express gave prominent coverage to Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch's criticism of Labour's approach to Britain's relationship with the European Union. Its front-page headline declares:

1/. “WE MUST NOT INDULGE THE PM'S EU FANTASY”.

Inside, the headline continues: “We can't go back to families arguing” and "Britain should concentrate on making its existing relationship with the EU work"..

2/. GB2GB: "DOES SHE NOT KNOW THAT THE BRITISH PUBLIC 'WANT' A 'NEW' RELATIONSHIP?

By asserting that the PM is indulging in FANTASY - she is also inferring the British Public are too as well. Definitely not a good sign for the enhancement of citizens' democracy, or to appeal to the voting public.

You don't try to recover from the largest collapse of support on record from the electorate in 2024 - if you want to convince them to give you yet another chance - especially if support shown in polls over the last 2 years keep her party at just over 20% level.

3/. CONSERVATIVES DIDN'T LISTEN FOR 14 YEARS - AND THEY ARE STILL NOT LISTENING NOW?

Conservative frontbencher Alex Burghart describes Labour's approach as an “absurd decision to reopen the Brexit debate” and concludes: “Only the Conservatives will get Britain working again.”

The Express also invites readers to vote on the question: “Is Labour refuelling old divisions with its plans for closer ties to the EU?” Express readers would naturally say YES - VOTERS WILL NOT.

Andy Burnham has re-ignited the public's interest in the progressive movement of politics not seen in the 14 years of Badenoch's party - while she fights it out with Nigel Farage for who can be the most divisive.

4/. *MULTI BILLIONAIRE OWNED RIGHT WING MEDIA ARE ONLY DOING THEIR JOBS - FOR *THEM

Elsewhere, the i newspaper (Sister of the Daily Mail) presents Badenoch in a different political dispute.

Its headline reads: “BADENOCH FEELS CARIBBEAN HEAT OVER OPPOSING SLAVERY APOLOGY”.

Badenoch's opposition to a formal British apology for slavery, which she argues could encourage demands for financial reparations. 250 YEARS OF BRITISH SLAVE TRADING - AND SHE SAYS 'NO'

GB2GB believes that the general public largely has no appetite for the last 14 years chaos of Conservative Party, and especially one now led by the most disliked politician still serving in that party, with such a toxic association with supporting all 5 previous Tory PM's through Brexit failures by Cameron, May, Johnson, Sunak and Truss.

When you consider the disastrous attempts, as leader, to attack Labour with a combination of crude disrespectful behaviour in the House of Commons:

1/. 'Starmer's Paedo Party' claim even though his party spent more on this subject in their 2 years than Tories did in their 14 years.

2/. Overseeing the killing of the public's preference for the Right To Die Bill with her 6 Peers proposing 1200 'amendments' to cause the bill to run out of time (once again against the will of the public).

3/. The failed attempt to shame labour claiming their extension of her own party's freeze on income tax allowance would cost citizens £19 billion over those 3 years - disguising the fact that the bill introduced by the Tories - with the direct input of Badenoch herself would cost £59 billion by the time it ended?

There is really only one message to send to Kemi Badenoch on the question of her becoming the next PM:
