Kemi Badenoch, her political memory and the relevance of her own record - once again completely destroyed by forensic analysis!*WHAT SHE SAYS NOW*
Kemi Badenoch has framed the coming political contest as a “battle for the soul of the nation”, concerning fundamental ideas about “what kind of country we want to be”. Her case includes lower taxation, restraint in government spending, reduced welfare expenditure, economic growth and resistance to the proposition that the government “knows best”.
The problem is that as the new PM - 'She' Would Be The One Describing 'What Is Best For The People' - not the people themselves?
Stepping back, let's look at her blatant attempt to whitewash her significant 'unspoken' part in the last 14 years of Tory utter chaos.
WHAT SHE SAID, WHAT SHE DID, OR WAS PART OF FOR 7 YEARS?
Kemi Badenoch was not simply an observer of the previous Conservative governments. Her governmental career included Education, Treasury, Equalities, Levelling Up, International Trade and finally the Cabinet-level Business and Trade portfolio.
The historical test is consequently: What did Badenoch support, oppose, defend or implement when she herself exercised governmental power?
EVIDENCE
The developing evidence record already establishes direct personal footprints.
1/. On Covid restrictions, parliamentary voting analysis identifies 20 votes for public-health measures/social restrictions, one against and one absence. Important individual divisions should still be checked against the official Parliamentary record before publication.

3/. On government decision-making, she personally issued ministers with guidance concerning the Public Sector Equality Duty.
4/. On post-Brexit trade policy, Badenoch occupied direct ministerial responsibility and publicly promoted the Australia/New Zealand arrangements and CPTPP accession as products of Britain's independent trading position.
5/. On the Post Office, contemporary BBC coverage recorded Badenoch's direct involvement in removing chairman Henry Staunton and subsequently reporting her rejection of his allegations concerning compensation.
6/. She participated in parliamentary votes supporting numerous Covid public-health restrictions.
7/. Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury up until just before Sunak announced the Income Tax Freeze, raising £42.9 billion for the Treasury
8/. As Business and Trade Secretary, she publicly championed Britain's post-Brexit trading strategy, including Australia, New Zealand and CPTPP.
9/. And during the Post Office controversy she personally exercised ministerial authority over its leadership and publicly defended her actions.
10/. Over the 5 years from 2019 to 2024 the Public Whip only records 2 rebellions from 810 votes from her
11/. No record from the public whip of her objection to and of: a/. Boris Johnson's actions and behaviour when he unlawfully prorogued Parliament in 2019. b/. No record from the public whip of her objection to and of Johnson's actions by Johnson during lockdown and partygate. c/. No record from the public whip of her objection to and of any policies proposed by Truss or Sunak during their terms in office
CONCLUSION:
At What Point Over Those 7 Years As A Tory Minister Did She Think That Her Party Was Not In A "Battle For The Soul Of The Nation" - And 'WHY' Did It Take Her Another 2+ Years To Discover What 'SOUL' Looked Like?
