Get Back 2 Great Britain have created a website that is solely devoted to identifying those moderate anti-aggressive people who post on social media against the dialogue being used designed to inflame and promote. The whole purpose and aims of the www.gb2gb.com/ campaign is to create a large group of moderate British people of all persuasions politically, with the exception obviously of those parties and party leaders bent on following the path of the Republicans in the USA.
GB2GB's plan is to address individually and collectively the roles of Political Parties and their leaders, British Media and any bias shown in their reporting news to the British Public, Other influential bodies in the UK, and finally the role of the British Public.
With a large membership for this campaign - all other bodies challenged on their actions by such a large and probably the most powerful body of influence on any given day, would be able to have an effective role in how things would proceed.
The perfect example of this concept, but not the only one, was when Marcus Rashford the well-known footballer and initially a small group on followers on social media challenged the then Prime Minister Boris Johnson to change the Conservative plan to cancel school dinner payments to children.
They did reverse that decision at a later date but it was then too late to prove the principal. One can only imagine what the power of 200,000 citizens, never mind 2 million citizens would produce,
Considering over 9 million voters voted for what was perceived as moderate political party, it would be hard to understand why those, as well as supporters of other moderate parties, would not find the concept and aims of the GB2GB campaign to be something worth of support.
ONE THING IS CERTAIN: The British public would no longer have to wait a full 5 years to have a direct influence on what any elected government could do EVER AGAIN?
THE STUDY:
The moderately phrased comments by the moderates, in a completely different tone to the opposite tone set by those promoting division, clearly had taken a decision to discuss the differences in hopefully constructive manner in the hope minds could be changed or altered rationally.
Having established that this was a good way to identify who the 'Coalition of the Willing' (to steal a recent phrase) could be, and address them directly based on their expressed opinions clearly in favour of moderation as a solution.
Only 14% of those people with those expressed opinions decided to spend just 30 seconds of their lives joining the campaign - 30 seconds would be a fraction of the time spent engaging with opponents of what the believed to be right and honourable.
CONCLUSION:
Whilst this was a very small example of what might be applicable to all 'Keyboard Warriors' it is interesting and useful to understand why Keyboard Warriors are so active on social media, but also reflective of what the state of mind is like in the United Kingdom of today.
It is is also extremely worrying that this is exactly what the children of the UK are growing up in, as well as the destructive effect that so much discourse in the world of mobile phones that they spend so much time on is so confrontational and toxic.
In the hope that readers of GB2GB’s aim, and the detailed plans to achieve success, is understood that some will take the opportunity to put their name to such a positive non-aggressive approach targeting all the people in Britain who would prefer traditional British standards to be part of our lifestyle – not the alternative.
