JOHOR BAHRU, Malaysia - August 2026 - Mark Teo Pickleball Coaching has launched its dedicated online platform, MarkyPB.online, providing players in Johor Bahru and nearby Singapore with direct access to structured pickleball coaching, training programs and session bookings.

Based at Pickle Friends @ Lotus’s Plentong in Johor Bahru, Mark Teo offers coaching for players ranging from complete beginners to those looking to refine their match performance. His approach focuses not simply on spending more time on court, but on making training more purposeful through better movement, positioning, technique and decision-making.

The coaching system is organized around three progressive stages: Learn, Develop and Train.

The Learn program is designed to build strong fundamentals, including ready position, efficient movement and essential pickleball skills. Develop provides more personalized coaching focused on identifying individual priorities and refining technique, positioning and tactical decision-making. The Train program uses progressive drills, live-ball exercises and coached gameplay to help players develop greater consistency and confidence in match situations. Sessions range from individual and two-player coaching to structured group training for up to six participants.

A key element of Mark Teo’s coaching philosophy is structured player development rather than isolated lessons. Sessions include clearly defined objectives and video review, allowing players to better understand their movement, technique and decision-making on court.

Internationally Recognized Coaching Education

Mark Teo combines practical coaching experience with formal pickleball coaching education.

In 2026, he was selected for the COEBRA Alpha Squad, an advanced coach development program led by Collin Johns. The program focuses on evidence-based learning, player assessment, communication, lesson design and long-term athlete development.

Teo is also RPO Pickleball Level 1 / UPA-A certified, has completed the Malaysia Pickleball Association Certified Pickleball Instructor Level 1 program, and has contributed as an RPO APAC clinician, assisting with regional coaching education and community workshops.

“Good coaching is not simply about spending more hours practicing,” said Mark Teo. “The objective is to help players understand what they need to improve, train with a clear purpose and develop skills they can actually use when they play.”

Serving the Growing Johor Bahru and Singapore Pickleball Community

The coaching location at Pickle Friends @ Lotus’s Plentong also makes the program accessible to players travelling from Singapore. The venue is approximately a 20-minute drive from the Johor Bahru checkpoint after crossing the Causeway and features indoor, air-conditioned courts with on-site shower facilities.

Coaching is available for juniors and adults, including school-age players, working professionals, seniors, families and groups of friends. Sessions can be adapted to the player’s experience, age, fitness level and individual objectives.
