Medical Cannabis Education Group Teams Up With Field Experts
Adds Certified Practical Application Training To Programs & Services

BriefingWire.com, 6/06/2014 - LOS ANGELES, CA – June 6, 2014 – With more and more states around the country adding medical cannabis laws to their books the demand for specific and specialized training for first-time medical cannabis distributors and cultivators is growing. Patient Advocacy Network, a well-respected, national non-profit organization providing education, training and advocacy to the medical cannabis community for nearly 10 years, has added certified practical application training to its programs and services.

PAN is developing a team of specialized experts in the areas of cultivation, lab testing, concentrate preparation and dispensary management to better educate first-time medical cannabis business people to succeed in the industry. “There are many nuances to the business as well as risks. We want good players to succeed, be safe and serve patients with best-practices standards,” states Degé Coutee, PAN’s president and education director. “There is quite a demand for practical field training and the ability to ask experts questions about their trade as well as the pitfalls,” Coutee continues.

Participants can expect to visit dispensaries, cultivation sites, testing labs and learn about the craft of preparing medical grade hashish, edibles and topical solutions. “Even though a grower may not perform the testing or the dispensary staff doesn’t make the concentrates, it’s important for all involved to have the knowledge to ensure they are providing the best products and education to the patients,” states Coutee. “Learning from the successes and failures of those experts doing this longer than anyone else only serves to make medical cannabis programs throughout the country stronger.” PAN’s training program takes place in Southern California.
