Toronto, Canada: The Online Safety Tips for Senior Workshop is being conducted on July 13th, 2018. Organised by Senior Tech Services, this two-hour workshop will provide significant information on online safety to the elderly. The workshop will be focused on educating seniors on protecting themselves from cyber crimes such as phishing scams, social engineering scams, identity theft and bogus websites. “The seniors living in retirement homes and assisted living facilities are often targets of hackers and cybercriminals. To protect themselves from online frauds, it is important for them to have knowledge of online safety. This workshop is a great way of educating seniors regarding the protective measures to be taken while using the internet”, says Bill Singh, owner of River Road Retirement Residence.
This workshop is limited to 12 people only. It will include a presentation followed by interactive question and answer session. Handouts will be provided and participants can bring their own laptops to the workshop.
